Steggall, 24, Van Buren: motor vehicle speeding, 30-plus mph over the speed limit, 60 days in jail; failing to stop for an officer, 60 days in jail; driving to endanger, 60 days in jail, license suspended 30 days, $575 fine; operating while license suspended or revoked, prior, 60 days in jail, $500 fine.

So, if he was sentenced and served 9 months, he would have just been released when the shooting occured in November of 2022. He was indicted again, in May of 2023, well after the shooting.
