Supreme Court won't hear Maine mother's case

Just when I thought that I had a chance of getting my case/s heard, I see this story at WGME about a mother who filed a lawsuit because her teen child was being assisted at school, to transition to a different gender.

In 2024, a judge ruled that Lavigne failed to point out any policy in which the school was required to tell her what was going on. A federal appeals court upheld that dismissal in July 2025.

A parent should have such information, and the school be required to get permission from parent/s and opportunity to provide the family with counseling, etc., regarding sensitive issues like gender transitioning.

The supreme court declined to hear Amber Lavigne's case.

Some of the comments in social media, like in my Facebook account under the story, make me sick...parent shaming this poor woman. Our government is broken, society sick!
